We loved the hosts Jacqui & Graham, they greeted us and 2 other couples that had arrived the same time with a plate of home made scones etc. Rooms were fabulous. Breakfast was very nicely done with all guests eating together on a huge table in the main house. Jacqui & Graham sat down each morning to entertain us once we had eaten our breakfast. Great menu and plenty to eat. Lovely people.
Peter (Mature couple) Littleborough, United Kingdom - 26 March 2012
Lovely b and b in a beautiful location. Guests are given a very warm and friendly welcome with lots of thoughtful little touchs to make their stay enjoyable. These included a very convenient guest bar with some very quoiffable wines, beers and soft drinks which provided a very nice finish to the evening after dining out at some very good local restaurants. Comfy beds provided a good nights sleep which was rounded off with a lovely breakfast with a wide selection of tasty hot and cold items. Your hosts have a good local knowledge about places to visit in the area to helps guests make the most of their stay supported by a good range of tourist leaflets.
William (Mature couple) Torquay, Australia - 26 March 2012
The location was great, and views lovely over the river and countryside. The owners were so very friendly and greatly added to our very pleasant stay. The room and facilities were very spacious and so comfortable - warm and inviting and added to our restful night's sleep. It was so relaxing to enjoy the room's lovely spa. The breakfast menu was very comprehensive and a great start to the day. It was served in a lovely dining room. The Cottage House is in a very good position to explore the Coromandel Peninsula and surrounds. A memorable part of our holiday in the North Island of NZ.
Trevor (Mature couple) Godalming, United Kingdom - 5 March 2012
We loved the area and this B&B was superb. Very well presented rooms and large bed. Property in excellent position with great views from the veranda, dining room and gardens. Host very attentive and welcoming providing an excellent breaksfast. Excellent value for money and the best B&B we had in our trip to NZ.
John (Mature couple) Manukau, New Zealand - 14 February 2012
We loved this bed and breakfast we were not asked to take off our shoes but insisted as the carpets were of a very high standard. The rooms were impeccable and Jacqui a great host, we were made to feel very comfortable in their house. There were four couples in total but we all had our own space which was great. This is as good as it gets in NZ for B&B. Homemade muesli and organic free range eggs with our hot breakfasts. The breakfast menu was surprisingly extensive. We,ll be back.

"Cotswold Cottage is in a beautiful setting. Jacqui and Graham are charming hosts and serve wonderful food. They are also very helpful with information about the area, making it the ideal place to stay for touring The Coromandel."
John and Vera Mutimer - London March 2011
"We arrived late at night and was very tired after a long day and decided to sleep in the next day and assumed we missed breakfast. Imagine our surprise when Jacqui and Graham said they have kept the breakfast table laid just for us and we were to take our time as there was no hurry. What a pleasant change from most places where they just take your money and want you to leave five minutes after check out time. The room was beautifully appointed although we were rather amazed and amused by the bathroom lights which switched off automatically without warning. Everything very clean and tidy and we love the location. It is absolutely stunning and worth staying just for the view."
Nerida Grewal - Sydney, Austrailia February 2011
"Jacqui &Graham have made Cotswold Cottage a memorable place to stay. Located on the outskirts of the beautiful Coromandel area they are well positioned for all wishing to take time to relax and view and experience this scenic area. Close enough to town for any shopping or meal needs; and able themselves to provide meals of exceptional standard should you so desire. High standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the accomodation. Extremely helpful in every way, from meals, to advice and information on the local area, to provision of towels and spades for an experience of hot water bathing at the hot water beach. There are three queen rooms available, all with their own entrance from a shared verandah, overlooking mountains and river. I would recommend that you enquire & book in advance"
Vic & Polly - February 2011
"We started our 3 week tour of New Zealand with Jacqui and Gray and could not have made a better choice. Worth planning your trip around! Perfect accommodations with a lovely sun room for reading or sharing a glass of wine and the only B & B that offered a large choice of hot breakfast options. They are the ultimate hosts - suggestions for day trips, directions, and they knew every restaurant owner in thames so we were always treated as special guests. Three days was not long enough."
Jane & Simon - Auckland 2010
"We had a wonderful time at the Cotswold Cottage. We loved the personal touches like lovely scones with jam and cream on arrival. Jacqui and Graham were the perfect hosts and the breakfast the next morning was fabulous. Not only was there the normal cereals to choose from but a full on cooked breakfast as well. The room was beautiful with lovely views. It was the perfect place to spend some quality time together - thank you."
