Cotswold Cottage B & B Thames Coromandel
Stayed for two nights, very happy with the location and service. Nice and quiet, but still close to Thames and the Coromandel in general. Hosts were very friendly and helpful - magnificent pancakes and coffee! Great value for money, will definitely stay there again.
Cotswold Cottage was a lovely surprise. Garth and Adrienne were very welcoming, complete with tea and scones. Very helpful without being overbearing, felt very comfortable. Room was lovely with great view and the rotunda lounge was very cosy. Brekky was hearty with lots on offer in a cute dining room. All in all our stay was great. Highly recommend.
Garth and Adrienne were very hospitable with a welcoming full tea and pleasant review of what to do in the area. Lots of great ideas for Coromandel and guided us to some excellent stops that we would have missed without their recommendation. Rooms are cozy, common area has lots to us, and the breakfast was a delicious Kiwi fare.
Stayed in the Neatherwood Suite with the very comfortable four poster bed, lovely modern bathroom with big shower and spa bath. Beautiful mountain and river views, gorgeous sunset. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and served us a delicious and generous breakfast in the morning. Really enjoyed a relaxing soak outside in the hot tub under the stars.
When I requested to stay at Cotswold Cottage, my request was answered promptly, professionally and very warmly. On arrival, I felt very welcomed and went on to spend a relaxed and refreshing stay. My room was very comfortable and immaculately clean. All the rooms are beautifully set out. All food served is home made and well worth eating. Garth and Adrienne are well acquainted with the area so were able to advise me well on what to do during the day. They went well past what would be expected of hosts in making sure my stay was comfortable and relaxing. Will definitely return and will recommend this place to many.
The room was very comfortable and bathroom and toilet was latest and clean. Outside view and area is very lively and scenic. We enjoyed stay thoroughly and will go back again when possible. The hosts were very politely friendly and helpful. I cannot appreciate more about candle light dinner and romantic music.
Cotswold Cottage B&B on a hill alongside Maramarahi Rd, just south of Thames, was a very nice place for a one-night stop during November 2013. Easy to find. We wish we had been able to stay longer.
We were in the Aynsome Room, the middle of the 3 guest rooms. It had a comfortable king bed, small desk, tasteful decorations and free WiFi. There was no air conditioning, but the windows opened and A/C was not needed during our stay. Tea and cake were provided upon our arrival in late afternoon. There was a nice view across the valley from the deck outside the guest rooms and from the adjacent guest lounge, where a small refrigerator and tourism literature were provided. In the morning, hosts Adrienne and Garth provided an excellent breakfast at the time of our choosing. They also gladly provided information and advice about sights in the local area. Highly recommended.
An excellent, personal reception by Garth and Adrienne. Very comfortable room with an excellent breakfast. You feel right at home. This is a place to return for sure.

Fabulous host Garth and Adrienne. Home made scones on arrival, just what we needed. Garth spent so much time explaining and giving tips on where to go and what to see. Room was spotless, excellent décor, views to die for. Breakfast was great (kiwi breakfast and pancakes with berries). Homemade jams and marmalade. Will be back to stay !!

This could not have been better and at the end of a 4 week visit to NZ it was the perfect finale, in the event we wished we had left another couple of days to explore the Coromandel. Garth and Adrienne are super hosts, only sorry we were not stopping longer. The location is wonderful in a lovely part of North Island. In the short time we were there, the hosts could not have been more helpful. Would recommend to anyone to stay and we hope to return in the future, thank you.

We arrived in the evening, the latest of the guests that day but were warmly welcomed by Garth and Andrienne who greeted us with a bright smile. Garth gave us a bottle of cold water to drink which was very thoughtful as we'd just returned from the lost springs. He also kindly offered some suggestions on places to visit that... More

"A simply fabulous B&B" Reviewed November 25, 2013
We stayed a Cotswold Cottage for 2 nights during our tour of the Coromandel. Garth & Adrienne have only recently taken over this B&B, but they are excellent hosts and this must be one of the best B&B's we've stayed at. The pictures don't really do it justice. The Cottage is positioned on a hillside with fabulous views over the... More

Everything we needed: a chance to get over a lot of travelling in comfort and peace and warm friendliness. And when I was foolish enough to leave something behind the owners agreed to meet us a long way off to bring it to us. - way beyond the call of duty!

The hosts , Garth and Adrienne , were excellent . Their home is in a quiet location, outside the town, set in lovely surroundings on the top of a hill overlooking the river. Nothing was too much trouble. They were very welcoming and recommended local places of interest to see. Super full breakfast. Arrived as strangers but when we left felt like friends!

Absolutely lovely country house, friendly and helpful host couple who gave plenty of useful tips of what to do in the area. Lovely rooms, great, genuine athmosphere. Excellent way to start our NZ holiday!
There is not really much to do in Thames itself, but the location is a great place to stop and stay for touring Coromandel

"Charming hosts, excellent full breakfast served in a beautifully appointed dining room, classic decor with attention to smallest detail combined to make this a memorable stay. The period home sits high up in the hills overlooking the historical town of Thames. French doors open from each bedroom onto sunny veranda with great views. A cosy conservatory a great place to sit and watch the sun set over the valley. These hosts have "got it right" well above average."

"From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Adrienne and Garth are great hosts, very friendly and take a lot of extra effort to add lots of extra little touches. With Adrienne's attention to detail and her decor flair she has got it so right.
We had the room with the Neatherwood suite, everything was just lovely. Came away from our 2 night stay feeling very relaxed.
Definitely one of the best places we have stayed in NZ. "

"We stayed with Garth and Adrienne, the new hosts for only 1 night and wished we had booked for much longer.
The place really felt like home with a caring heart.. The little touches made it interesting and the absence of little notices that can be too obvious in other B and B's enabled us all the more to relax.
The food was superb .
Although Garth and Adrienne are new to Cotswold Cottage, they are not new to the area and were able to advise us well on what to do and where to go."
Room Tip: All are beautiful . All rooms have an ensuite.. All have views to the river and out to the sea.
